Rebel Spies All

The content in Star Tours is pretty cool! For example, I now actually want to watch The Last Jedi again, because in the Star Tours version you see the AT-AT’s storming the gate mixed in with the better-armored AT-AT like things (with the knuckles) and you can see that the more sensibly armored ones are actually MUCH larger. I need to see if we saw that in the movie!

Also, the branding at the end where you land in what will be the new Star Wars land is kind of a nice touch. Also, none of our group got caught as the rebel spy this time! [ glaring at Bevin ]

They did have some really cool art after the ride that I kind wish I could buy, really neat art-deco stylings of Star Wars locations. Do want. Should’ve taken pictures, oops.

Into the upside-down

Bevin is once again concerned. Everyone screaming worries her.

Oh man, that coaster is fun. The only inversion in Disney World, I love it!

Bev however:

Less pleased with that. It’s okay, we’ll do it again, she’ll learn to love it.

Flashback to the future

Sunday night we went to The Void, a star wars VR experience.

Way cool! You put on the vest and helmet, can’t see anything but the VR world, and then walk around! Freaky and fun!

Easily the best demonstration of Occulus I’ve seen. I want one.

Okay, off to Hollywood Studios! For towers, and terror!

Tree of life at night

On our way out of the park. Dark and blurry, but what can you do. Better photo from the in-park photographer later.

No, I’m not showing you video of Rivers of Light, I was too busy watching to hold up my phone. 😂

Really really cool show. I cannot BELIEVE the barge drones driving themselves around the lake. Really cool water projections too.

Around the world on a river of light…

In our seats for the River of Light show at the ANIMAL kingdom. Found the right kingdom again, yay!

Also, this is good park weather since it’s not blazing hot, being nighttime and all. Forecast for tomorrow shows a 15°F increase though…

Dessert was had… And water.

We had a really amazing lunch at Tiffins in Animal Kingdom, which we all enjoyed. Especially dessert, and some water to drink and rehydrate.

First time trying wing nifty new thing. Pan around, see what you can see!

Then we went to Kali River Rapids. On the way it began to, shall we say, downpour. Although that may be too gentle a term. Then the thunder came, the rides closed, and we decided to come back to the hotel for a little while. We needed re-hydration, but this is a bit excessive.

Brian was unprepared, I let him have my poncho. I am… damp. This bus with the AC cranked all the way up is about to be fun…
